During ancient Pompeii, Agathon created ointments for the aristocracy of the Roman Empire. According to legend, the master perfumer was so talented and had such a deep knowledge of materials that his essences were considered the work of the gods.
Our olfactory project rediscovers and celebrates the excellence of these ointments and gives a contemporary touch to the olfactory landscape market through the use of natural materials of the highest quality. The legacy of history, the essence of the future.
Our perfumes are presented in exclusive and elegant packaging: handmade porcelain perfume bottles seal the fragrances. The manufacturing techniques have been handed down since 1740 by the Royal Factory of Capodimonte, founded by the philanthropic King Charles III of Bourbon, under whom the excavations of Pompeii began.
Faunus was the god of the countryside, pastures and agriculture, as opposed to the god of the woods. He was also called "Luperco", as a defender of the flocks and the inhabitants of the countryside from the assaults of the wolves.
It is one of the oldest Italian divinities, He had as a pastime hunting and courting nymphs. He loved playing the flute and was a bearer of sexual instincts. His appearance was human in form, but with goat-like legs and horns on his head.
Faun was the son of Jupiter and the sorceress Circe. in later versions he was associated with the Greek god Pan.
According to Roman myths, later taken up in the Aeneid by Virgil, Faunus was the husband of Marica, divinity of the waters, from whom he had Latinus. Together with a Sicilian nymph he would instead have generated the beautiful shepherd Acis.
